'The Org' | Book Launch (Eora/Syd)

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

‘Putting the lit in literature.’

The time has finally come. The Org.  A protest novel. An Australian satirical dystopia. 1984 meets The Betoota Advocate. The debut. The childhood dream. Fkn oath.

It calls for a book launch like no other, complete with DJs, drinks (BYO plus some freebies), nibblies, and a Q&A with your next favourite author – K.J. Hennessy.

Or, just Kieran. Woot.

Kicking off at 6pm, Sep 28th will be Luke Emerson (of Tise Jones infamy) spinning tunes. Then, an author Q&A hosted by Shivani Sharma (Resident Advisor) who also commands infamy among the music scene. You might even get a cheeky reading out of me before Gabriella Spritz closes the evening with more tunes.

Some print copies will be available on the night but as of September 14th, you’re also welcome to order through me, online, or through select bookshops. I’ll post links/updates when sales all go live.

You can pre-order now via Amazon, which helps the stats for release day:

PLEASE RESPECT THE VENUE. Our Secret Spot is hosting this event on their ground level. It’s a sex-on-premises, BYO nightclub, though it doesn’t run weeknights (so no, we won’t all be fking, sadly). Look for their logo on a lil black door - you will need to buzz in to gain entry. I’m super thankful to the managers for helping out on this, especially Jess, Jamie & Yasi.

And thank you to Fellr for the seltzers :)

We’ll also be filming & photographing the evening (thank you Ravyna & Matt), so please let me know if you don’t wish to be visible in any content.

THANK YOU SO MUCH to all of you for having touched my life in some way. It all counts. If you do wish to support / buy copies, pls let me know! And of course would love to hear your thoughts :)

Hope to see you there! Xx
