The Original Uke Off – Songwriting Comp
Original Songs. Regional Talent. An Amazing Night Out.
Uke Mullum presents The Original Uke Off—a joyful evening of original music at Mullum Uke Club, where singer-songwriters from across the region share their songs and you help make the night unforgettable.
Gather your friends, cheer on your favourite singer-songwriter and discover a new favourite along the way. Six selected songwriters will each perform two originals, with the ukulele at the heart of every performance. Expect heartfelt stories, memorable melodies and the buzz of a room coming together to support original music.
You’re Part of the Night
This is more than a sit-back-and-watch concert. There’ll be opportunities for the audience to play along, as well as songs to simply listen to and enjoy. Bring your ukulele if you’d like to join in—or just bring your enthusiasm!
There’ll also be an audience vote, so come along, listen, cheer and have your say. Alongside our local judges, you’ll be part of the celebration of original songwriting.
First Prize
The first prize winner will have their song professionally produced and recorded at a local Mullumbimby recording studio by an acclaimed music producer and musician with over 30 years of experience.
