The Outsider's Perspective
Event description
New Alterations presents the Outsider's Perspective. Curated by Goke.
Hosted at Finch Community Cinema
From the foreigner’s viewpoint, cinema reframes the “elsewhere”: sometimes with curiosity, sometimes with distance, often revealing more about the filmmaker’s position than the subject. This strand probes the ethics of looking, asking what can be learned - and what remains obscured - when cultures are mediated by outsiders.
