We are delighted to invite you to the culmination of The Path 2026, presented by SCCA through The Refinery and facilitated by Dr Kellie O'Dempsey. This exclusive Project Showing offers an inside look at the works-in-progress by some of the region's most exciting emerging and early-career artists.

Event Details:

Date: 1 September 2026
Time: Doors open 5pm
Start 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Location: Presentations in LT2 and reception UniSC Art Gallery, 90 Sippy Downs Dr, Sippy Downs QLD 4556

The Path is designed to empower artists with essential skills in conceptualising, planning and towards delivering new work. Past participants of this program have produced some of the most innovative work in the region and this year's group is set to continue that legacy.

On this special night, you'll experience presentations across painting, photography, sculpture, interdisciplinary practice and digital art from the following artists: Alicia Sharples, Elijah Huckel, Holly Field, Jamie Davidson, Jordyn Stirling, Jude Mudioa, Michael Norris, Lee McIntosh, Ro Clark and Sally Chippendale.

This showing not only marks a pivotal point in the journey of these artists but also offers a space for meaningful conversations and connections within our creative community. Come and join these emerging artists and preview the next wave of new works being developed in the region.

The 2026 program is supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland, Sunshine Coast Council, Noosa Council through the Regional Arts Development Fund - to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland and the Creative Ecologies Research Cluster at UniSC.

R|The Path is delivered as part of The Refinery, SCCA’s platform of professional development programs designed to support creative practitioners working at the intersection of art, technology, environment and design.
