The Pink and Black Charity Shave and Auction Night is an event aimed to raise awareness for both Breast Cancer and Melanoma, and to raise funds to support two young women currently attached to the Hume Police District who are currently battling these terrible diseases.

Senior Constable Kim FINCH is the current lock up keeper for the Marulan Police Station and is an integral part of the local Marulan Community who encompasses what community policing is all about. Senior Constable FINCH, or 'Finchy' as she is affectionately known, is currently fighting Stage 3 Metastatic Breast Cancer at the young age of 37 and undergoing Chemotherapy, with radiation therapy to follow.

General Administrative Support Officer Vanessa KELLY works at Goulburn Police Station and greatly assists frontline police with all types of admin support, no job is too big or too small for Vanessa. Vanessa also assists members of the public with general enquiries either in person at the station or over the phone. Vanessa has been recently diagnosed with a Metastatic Stage 4 Melanoma which has spread to here stomach, lung, chest and brain. As a result, Vanessa now faces a a long battle involving numerous Immunotherapy treatments, scans, monitoring and travel to and from the Melanoma Institute in Sydney.

The Pink and Black Cancer Shave and Auction is proudly supporting NSW Police Legacy to ease the financial burden associated with battling these diseases.

The two main features of the night involve a number of officers shaving their heads to show solidarity with their colleagues who have lost their hair due to the cancer treatments. There will also be a silent auction with a wide range of amazing items up for auction which have been generously donated by local businesses in support of these two brave women.

Goulburn's best live band, 'The Lumpy Underdaks' will be performing during the night and a a full buffet will be supplied.

So grab a table, bring your wallet along and enjoy a great night of music, food and entertainment all in support of a wonderful cause
