The Place We Call Home will be held in the Singing Gazebo, a purpose-built concert venue in a garden next to Riverbend Park, Clarendon, known to the Kaurna People as Way through Place. The word Country to the Indigenous peoples includes Land, Rivers, Sea and Sky, so it is significant that this venue is also adjacent to the Onkaparinga River, known to the Kaurna as Ngangkiparri, or Women's River. Kaurna women used to meet and take shelter in this area during times of unrest.

Our poetry guests will be award-winning poet and novelist Rachael Mead and Haiku poet and educator Maeve Archibald. Our guest musicians - and hosts - will be Dave Clark and Kate Townsend who are both accomplished songwriters as well as passionate environmentalists.

This will be an afternoon devoted to the contemplation of Nature and our relationship to it, in the form of poetry and song. It will include an acknowledgement and tribute to the people who lived in and cared for this place for tens of thousands of years.
