The Deserters, Lachlan Bryan(Duo) & Dan Brodie
Description
Lachlan Bryan:
Over more than a decade Lachlan Bryan has built a reputation as a master storyteller and entertainer, regardless of whether he's performing solo, fronting his band The Wildes or collaborating with Country Music Icon Catherine Britt in The Pleasures. His songs range from the gothic Americana of The Wildes' debut album to the feel good anti-love of The Pleasures' records and the non-linear indie-folk of ‘As Long as it’s Not Us' - but each one contains a unique turn of phrase, dark humour and an ever-present sense of romance.
Lachlan has toured with icons such as Justin Townes Earle, John Hiatt and Shawn Colvin, as well as headlining his own tours and performing at festivals all over the world. He's released five full length albums with The Wildes, all of which have received critical acclaim, featured in Yearly Top Ten lists and in some cases even charted strongly in the ARIA Official Australian Albums charts.
Dan Brodie:
Dan Brodie is a renowned Australian singer-songwriter, and double ARIA Award nominee.
With a career spanning multiple Album releases and tours and a hard earned reputation as an incredible live performer, Dan Brodie has gained a loyal following across Australia, the US, and Europe, performing at venues such as L.A.’s Roxy Theatre, CBGB in New York, L’Olympia in Paris, and music festivals such as Splendour in the Grass, Big Day Out, Port Fairy Folk Festival, Gumball and Byron Bay Bluesfest along with recent headline appearances at Dashville Skyline and Tamworth Country Music Festival.
Born in Melbourne, Australia, Brodie was raised in a musical family and his father, a guitarist and bandleader in Melbourne's nascent 60's rock n roll scene, showed Brodie the basics of guitar and piano and along with his brother Chris, they began making music together.
With his band the Broken Arrows, (later The Grieving Widows), Brodie signed to EMI Australia and Last Call Records (later Beast Records) in France, and his talents are recognised in his native Australia with two ARIA Award nominations for his second album, Empty Arms, Broken Hearts.
The Deserters:
Two voices. Many strings. Endless Stories.
Brooke Taylor and Delsinki are The Deserters—a powerhouse duo crafting raw, honest songs delivered with grit, heart, and a good dose of dry humour. Their sound spans baroque textures, dusty country, classic folk and low-down blues, all tied together by rich harmonies and road-worn storytelling.
With deep roots in Melbourne’s music scene, they’ve been hitting stages across the city, throughout regional Victoria, and on the folk festival circuit—turning heads and winning ears along the way.
Their debut album, produced by Mick Thomas, is out in Feb —ushering in a bold new chapter for two of the scene’s most respected and road-tested artists.
