The Power of Creative Engagement – Acts of Being facilitated session
Event description
We have all been told that cognitive decline is an inevitable part of aging, but what if that believe is outdated? Neuroscience reveals a different story, one where the brain remains adaptable, resilient and capable of growth well into later life.
With this in mind, we have an interesting creative experience coming up for you on Wednesday 10th September as our monthly meeting event, with guest facilitator, Jai Waters, President of Woolgoolga Art Gallery.
Jai will help us to explore the role of creativity in supporting wellbeing, curiosity, and personal meaning as we age. While demonstrating how creative practice supports brain health and emotional richness.
This session will weave together storytelling, guided reflection, and a hands-on creative experience, using Jai’s painting series Acts of Being as your inspiration.
You do not need any artistic skills, just a willingness to explore your inner self and most of all have fun!
