Event description

If you've ever been to my house then you'll know about my love for the Biophilic Artist- Miranda Brown's work ( https://mirandabrown.co.nz/ )

That's why I'm so thrilled to have Miranda as our special guest presenter for June's Red Tent Circle!!

I'm also excited to see you at our new home for the winter- Manuka Cottage in Addington.

At this very special Red Tent circle we will work with the elements, nature and our own innate creativity to focus our intention to manifest our dreams.

Art is a tool to remember, celebrate and alchemise our dreams and desires into reality.

In this session you will journey into the four winds to engage your senses and alignment with your elemental self grounding in the truth of who you are.

The four winds elemental knowledge can be traced across all corners of the globe
from Eastern Chinese medicine and Indian Yoga practices to the European Pagan
traditions and the Medicine Wheel of the first nation people of America.
For Aotearoa the teaching of the Waitaha.

When we anchor ourselves in our heart nature we are able to claim our inheritance in the light and from this place magic happens!
You will create a symbol - a flower that represents your heart nature and set an intention for your soul purpose.

See you there dear one!

Ngā mihi nui,

Jill Natalia.

About Miranda-

As an Artist and Biophilic Designer Miranda Brown’s creative practice inspires people to
connect with nature, to reflect and take care.
“ Essentially my art is all about connecting people to the beauty of nature to enhance
wellbeing and to inspire people to look after our natural world. The focus of my work is the
flora and fauna of Aotearoa, the Manu / native birds and patterns held within natures
design known as sacred geometry.”

‘We need to understand how our ecology works as a living system so that we can live in
harmony with all nature and add value to the world we live in, this is a fundamental
principle of regenerative practice. Our role is to be the Kaitiaki; guardians of the air, earth,
water and life force – the mauri ’

About Red Tent Aotearoa-
"What women want is CONNECTION.
Not on a superficial level, but a REAL connection and support.
The Red Tent is a place for women to feel that connection and to offer and receive that support.
We want to help women to free themselves from the isolation of today’s modern world and find their tribe."

Red Tent Aotearoa has the aim to connect, collaborate, and create a community of strong and educated women in a supportive & nurturing environment.
We establish community networks and support between women by hosting local gatherings, and events in what we call 'Red Tents.'

Red Tent Aotearoa is not religious, and we invite anyone who identifies as female from 11 years + from all walks of life.
It’s our hope for everyone who enters each Red Tent to experience a sense of belonging, sisterhood, and strength that stays with them from then on.

FAQ:
What is the Red Tent and what do you do there?
The Red Tent movement is worldwide and stemmed from the book The Red Tent written by Anita Diamant.
Red Tents are spaces created by women, for women to come each month and share their stories, relax, feel nurtured, seen, and heard.
There is nothing required of you and the main goal is for you to relax, recharge and reset.

Each month at Red Tent Aotearoa is different, we invite a different woman to share her experience and interest with us so that we all can learn and become more confident. Some of our themes in the past have been; The Power of Pleasure, The Power of Identity, The Power of the Spoken Word, The Power of Positive Touch, and The Power of Humility. Our belief is that 'Power-with' instead of 'Power-over' will change the world.

Who is the host and why does she do this?
Jill Natalia is the founder of Red Tent Aotearoa and Red Tent Australia.

Jill is a community-focused change-maker with a devotion to non-profit organisations and a passion for non-violent communication.

She has dedicated the last 10 years of her life to starting, growing, and sharing Red Tent Australia and now Red Tent Aotearoa as an organisation that helps start and support the birthing of Red Tent circles all over the country. Jill believes in the power of Red Tent circles to heal the women of the world and in doing so the ripple effect will be felt across the globe.
