You don't need to post every day, follow every trend or have a huge following to make an impact on social media. You need to understand what works, why it works and how to make it work for your business.

Kāpiti Coast District Council, through Business Kāpiti, is working with Liv Young, founder of LILA Studios, to deliver a practical workshop exploring the power of organic social media and how local businesses can use it to build their brand, connect with customers and grow. Whether you're struggling with what to post, looking to improve your content or simply want to feel more confident showing up online, this session will help you make sense of social media in 2026.

What we'll cover:

Understanding the role of organic social media in your marketing.
Optimising your social media presence to better represent your business.
What makes content effective and engaging.
Creating content that connects with your audience and reflects your brand.
Practical ways to make content creation easier and more consistent.
Building confidence in showing up online and promoting your business.

Liv brings over five years of experience in social media strategy, content creation and digital marketing, alongside firsthand experience building and marketing her own clothing label. Expect practical advice, fresh ideas and strategies you can start implementing straight away.

Perfect for: Business owners, retailers and anyone managing social media for their business.
