The Power of Us
Event description
Ten years on from landmark legislation to integrate health and social care in Scotland, we have much to learn from what has worked – and what has not worked. Enhanced community services and new ways of working are making an impact but promising preventative practices frequently seem overwhelmed in the face of financial or workforce pressures and rising demands for elective and urgent care.
Join us for this one-day national learning event that will bring together healthcare, social care, housing, third sector, independent sector and community planning partners at a milestone for integration joint boards and their partners.
Interactive sessions will align with the 2025-2035 Health and Social Care Service Renewal Framework and with Delivering for Scotland, the new Public Sector Reform Strategy that builds on the ambitions of Christie and aims to put people and relationships first through:
Prevention, earlier intervention and proactive care and support
Place-based leadership and partnering for population health equity
People-powered, rights based and community-led support
Digital solutions for wellbeing
Delegates will:
participate in a blend of on-site and hybrid sessions;
share learning on local innovations;
hear from people who have lived experience of integrated care and support;
engage with system leaders who are collaborating to create health equity;
connect to lever mutual opportunities for transformative change; and
build confidence for taking collective action to improve lives.
