The Pride & Prejudice Regency Dance Series
Description
Step into the elegance of the Regency era with our Regency-inspired dance classes. These warm and welcoming sessions are designed for everyone - no partner needed, beginners welcome, no experience required.
Across the classes, you’ll explore partner dancing and group dances, with some dances allowing you to rotate through the class, making it fun and social. Instruction is clear and simple ...walk in, dance out ... and we infuse a few modern techniques that will give you the skills and confidence to dance throughout the night.
The dances are inspired by the long tradition of English Country Dance, with smooth, flowing movements and an impression of lightness and ease. Partners face each other in lines, performing elegant sequences together as you move through the figures, sharing in the joy of coordinated movement and social connection.
With a friendly, supportive atmosphere, you’ll quickly gain confidence, enjoy the rhythm, and experience a taste of the dance and refinement of Regency society — all in a fun, immersive, and social setting.
