Description

Friends of Mamma Chen’s presents The Princess Bride (G) [OC]

A fundraiser for GenWest: working towards gender equity in Melbourne / Naarm’s west

Friends of Mamma Chen’s cordially invites you to bring your motley crew along to a queer gathering at Mamma Chen’s for a screening of The Princess Bride, in support of GenWest.

Adapted from the book by William Goldman, and directed by Rob Reiner, The Princess Bride features an incredible cast including Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Mandy Patinkin, Andre The Giant, Christopher Guest, Wallace Shawn and Fred Savage in an often inconceivable mawwiage of action, adventure, comedy and,  of course, true love.

Please come along to experience this incredible, and incredibly quotable, film in an inclusive and accepting environment, honour and celebrate the life and work of the late, great Rob Reiner, and raise money for a great cause. Our last event sold out, so don’t hesitate to buy your tickets early!

GenWest are champions for gender equity in Melbourne’s west. They provide services that help victim survivors of family violence, support communities to lead safe and healthy lives, by running social and education programs for people who experience inequity, and partner with other organisations to advocate for equal rights and the prevention of family violence. For more information, visit their website: https://genwest.org.au/

This event is supported by Bi+ Pride Victoria: a volunteer organisation which works to protect the rights and improve the health and wellbeing of multi-gender attracted people across Victoria, Australia. For more information, visit their website: https://www.bipluspridevic.org.au/
