The Proactive Bystander - Preventing Domestic & Family Violence EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
Event description
REGISTER FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
This online workshop is designed to reveal current information regarding domestic and family violence specifically against women and develop an understanding of what can be achieved as a bystander in given situations we witness.
We will look at statistics, cause and effect, the impact of doing nothing and methods of taking positive action on a personal level to either intervene or to manage ourselves in more positive behaviours and communications.
It is well recognised that domestic and family violence affects victims of all genders however our time together in this session is focussed on female victims only.
We will include discussion in small groups as well as the main group.
Walk away with a clearer appreciation of contributing factors and how bystanders can take a proactive stance to protect others in our community.
