Event description
THE RADICALLY FLEXIBLE PRACTITIONERS: a workshop in collaborating with children and young people
In this exclusive workshop, facilitated by artist and academic, Lenine Bourke , participants are invited to gather for an afternoon of talking, sharing, developing skills, practicing, problem solving and experimenting with ideas.
As a radically flexible practitioner, Lenine will exercise this specific ethos in taking participants through the skills, inclinations, characteristics and approaches to working with children, young people, their families and communities in arts and cultural practice.
As a group, Lenine will lead discussion on the principles of great practice with examples of leading creatives locally and nationally. As well as sharing facultative ideas and diverse processes for managing conflict, group issues, differences in life circumstances and experiences amongst children and young people. A focus on form and content, intimate and spectacle, public and private works that can hopefully take arts and cultural practices with children and young people into the next phase of this important work.
