About the Presenter
Zoe Kerbey is a passionate and talented Year 12 student at Perth Waldorf School, situated near the picturesque Bibra Lake. Driven by her deep belief in the vital connection between humans and nature, Zoe has dedicated her final year to a comprehensive research project exploring the concept of Wilderness and its evolving relationship with humans in Western society. Her insightful dissertation delves into the nature-culture dualism prevalent in Western culture and the holistic understanding of nature embraced by First Nations communities. Beyond her academic pursuits, Zoe's artistic flair shines through as she plans to write and illustrate a children's picture book, aiming to instil in young minds the awareness of their inherent place within the natural world.
