The Red Detachment of Women Film Screening
Event description
Join us for a Film screening of the Red detachment of Women!
A product of the Chinese revolution, this film shows the unbreakable bond between the struggle for the liberation of women and the anti-imperialist resistance of billions of people. Following the revolutionary heroine Wu Qionghua, the story insists upon the necessity of women themselves to liberate themselves. This liberation can be nothing like what imperialist feminism tries to sell us, sought “within”, but must be conquered in lockstep with the anti-imperialist struggle of the peoples of the whole world!
