A collaboration between Vikki Thorn (The Waifs, Thornbird), Simon London (the Spirits) and Tammy London, the Red Tails are a unique collaboration; friends, partners and next-door neighbours.

Saturday June 15 the Red Tails will play a special one-off local show – likely to be the last for 2024 – before a long hiatus backons.

In 2020 on the south coast of WA, they got together to sing songs on the front porch as the world changed around them in ways that at the time, they could not control or comprehend. Thus, the Redtails were born.

It proved to be a unique combination. From the first session they knew they were in the right place at the right time.

On autumn afternoons as the kids kicked the footy and a golden light settled on the olive grove, they found solace in joining voices – singing up – sending harmonies and laughter out over the bay that had shaped their respective childhoods.

Their powerful voices together create big, captivating soul harmonies; blending together in blues-soul-gospel-country songs, deeply rooted in a strong sense of place. Their voices uplift: they sing with a deep residing joy.

From the porch followed live shows; house concerts, bigger venues and ultimately festival stages where the magic of the three voices continues to draw loyal and growing crowds.

The Red Tails are part-way through releasing their debut album The Red Tails; with physical copies being sold at shows in anticipation of the upcoming digital/streaming release.

Now, fresh from playing to packed venues at the Nannup Festival, the Red Tails have one more local show before a long hiatus beckons, as members head off in different directions and to different projects for the rest of the 2024. Don’t miss the opportunity – it will sell out.
