We have a new group starting up called The ReFounder Club. Launching this Thursday at Mountain Club Beach Street 5-7pm. For Founders from all walks of life (as well as those who have previously Founded or are curious about starting something)... Our inaugural meet-up features two great speakers: Mikkel Johannessen and John Holt.
Mikkel Johannessen Founder of Fox Folk, speaking about how he created a product that has taken the global Mountain Biking community by storm with a new invention that saves expensive frames from cracking. After discovering that debris trapped in the frame of a bike can cause cracking and is void of warranty and uninsurable, he solved that by creating the DirtSkirt. 170 million expensive bike frames that could crack and become worthless due to debris; now they can all be “insured by innovation”. Sales have been made to 71 countries in the first 9 months of release. Mikkel takes us on the rollercoaster ride he has been on launching this during a global pandemic.
John Holt is the Founder of Territory 3 (formerly Kiwi Landing Pad) which he started 13 years ago to help New Zealand Founders go global; also Founder & CEO of All Things Considered. John will be talking about the state of Capital for Founders in 2023, given recent events in the market.
It’s gonna be a great chance to meet some familiar and new faces at the Mountain Club.
