This workshop, led by Steven J Todd, starts with an insightful discussion on mindfulness and the profound impact of stress on the nervous system. You will gain fresh perspectives on widening your window of tolerance to navigate daily stress and attain heightened mental clarity. You will engage in embodiment practices to get out of your head and into your body in preparation for a fully guided 1 hour Circular Breathing breathwork session. There will be ample time for rest and integration directly after the breathwork session.

The breathwork technique: Circular Breathing is a rhythmic pattern of continuous mouth breathing without pauses, lasting approximately 45-60 minutes. Rooted in the Holotropic Breathwork lineage, this technique, facilitated by Steven and his co-facilitator accompanied by a curated music playlist guides you into a transformative state. Circular Breathing reaches beyond the conscious mind and aims to release stored tension in the body, release trapped emotions along with the associated memories and helps to widen the window of tolerance in the nervous system. This can result in a more regulated nervous system and an enhanced tolerance to daily stress, empowering you to create a more fulfilling life with more focus, clarity and inner peace.
(Please note this is not Wim Hoff breathing there is no breath retention and there are no pauses throughout the breathwork session.)

THIS BREATHWORK WORKSHOP IS FOR: Men and women 18 years and over.

THIS BREATHWORK WORKSHOP IS NOT FOR: PREGNANT WOMEN. If you are pregnant please know that this style of breathwork can be harmful to the gestation process. There is not enough scientific studies to show that this can be a safe process for pregnant women. Please do not attend if you are pregnant.

WHAT TO BRING:

Yoga mat and or blanket. (The studio does supply yoga mats, bolsters and blankets but you may want to bring your own)
Journal or writing material to record your experience afterwards (optional).
Water bottle and water.
Wear loose comfortable clothing.
Lip balm (if you use it)

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Breathwork can result in certain specific physiological changes in the body and also can result in intense physical and emotional release. The following conditions listed below are contraindicated for this style of breathwork. PLEASE CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR FIRST and get permission from them if you wish to attend the workshop. Once you get permission from your doctor for any of these conditions below please also inform Steven before coming to the workshop. NOTE** This precaution is for your own wellbeing: Severe asthma, Complications from covid, Heart conditions (High Blood Pressure, Cardiovascular disease, angina, previous heart attack) History of stroke, Epilepsy or history of seizures, Acute physical injuries or Recent surgery, Diabetes, Severe PTSD, Severe mental illness issues. (Prior diagnosis of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or previous psychiatric condition), Any other medical, psychiatric or physical conditions which would impair or affect the ability to engage in any activities that involve deep physical and/or emotional release, Glaucoma, Kidney disease, Diagnosis of aneurysm in the brain or abdomen, Uncontrolled thyroid conditions, Detached retina.

Photography and filming of the event: There will be a small amount of filming and photos taken during the event by Steven or his co facilitator which will be used for social media marketing to promote future events. They will not be invasive or of anyone personally, it will be more generalised of the whole group and for different phases of the workshop. There will be more information and a discussion about this at the start of the event.
