The River Sounds Festival
Event description
A not-for-profit music festival about mental health, finding hope and choosing life.
The Festival features an amazing line up of NZ musicians, interspersed by talks from those affected by mental illness. The line up includes:
SOLA ROSA SOUND SYSTEM . STRANGELY AROUSING . BBYFACEKILLA . PARK RD . ALBI & THE WOLVES . THE RVMES. JOYDAH MAE. RENEE COFFEY
Complimenting the main stage is an array of activities designed to promote hauora - well being, such as yoga, meditation, and interactive talks with local mental health experts.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to very important charities:
Te Puna Hauora - provides a range of mental health services within the Western Bay of Plenty
Yellow Brick Road - provides support to families who have a loved one experiencing mental distress
The Everyone Hurts Foundation is a registered NZ charity and since its inception we have raised over $40,000 through various events.
