The Riverbend Sessions; a night of storytelling and music! Join us on October 22nd at the historic Pilgrim Church in Paterson St, Launceston for a blend of music and memories, reminiscent of an old-time front porch storytelling session. You'll be taken on a trip through the careers of two of Tasmania's best guitarists. Head to the North Festival Launceston website for details of this and all the other fabulous offerings! *BYO drinks/nibbles to The Riverbend Sessions*

"Pete Cornelius has been a working musician since the age of 13. He continues to expand his repertoire and impress his audience with his toneful guitar and soulful vocals. Pete’s style is difficult to describe but is steeped in heartfelt blues, greasy funk & soul with Americana overtones.
His authentic sound and original songwriting is unique to Pete and does not disappoint.
Pete’s skill is recognised internationally. He has a swag of awards and albums and maintains his status as one of Australia’s best guitarists." [from Website]

Pete will be joined by Beau Thomas (drums) and Simon Holmes (bass) to perform for us at The Riverbend Sessions as The Pete Cornelius Trio.
“Pete’s guitar mastery and stage craft creates a feast for the ears that can only come from countless miles on the road and hours in the studio.” [Dudley Billing]

"Marcus Sturrock is a world touring multi-instrumentalist whose primary instrument is guitar.
As a solo acoustic guitarist and singer, he has headlined at many music festivals worldwide and played electric and acoustic guitar in bands with many famous musicians. He is one of the founders of playing percussion on the guitar’s body.
Marcus’s musical influences arereflected in his original eclectic compositions ranging fromFolk, Funk, Celtic, World, Classical, Blues and Roots to Jazz and more." [from Website]
"I was fortunate enough to catch a performance of Marcus; emotively weaving folk, funk, jazz, Middle Eastern, Celtic, flamenco and more with technical ease, diverse percussive beats on the guitar's body, while simultaneously playing melody, harmony, and scatting; a stand-out, innovative composer".
