The Road Not Taken - Overview
“If you feel pain only with your flesh and blood, you are not human. Human beings have empathy. Your decision is your future.” The Film “The Road Not Taken” was released on 2nd October 2022 with the world premiere in London. Directed by Ko Pauk, a leading director in Myanmar, this film is a true story about an Army Captain who participated in the Civil Disobedience Movement to stand with the people of Myanmar and fight against the military junta. The entire film was created, directed, and edited by Director Ko Pauk using iPhone 11 Pro Max, amid fights against the military in the jungle with non-actors. This short film with English subtitles will be screened to raise awareness of the dire situation in Burma and to raise funds to help our suffering people in desperate and urgent humanitarian need.

About Film Director - Ko Pauk
Ko Pauk has been a scriptwriter and an actor in the Myanmar film industry since 1998. Ko Pauk’s acting career transitioned to his directing debut, making him a successful and leading director in the Burmese film industry. His Films are widely recognized as the highest-grossing box office films in Myanmar.
Since the coup d’etat on 1st February 2021, he has participated in the front line of the protest against the illegal takeover of Myanmar’s elected government by the military junta. As a result of this defiant stand, he is being hunted by the military and is currently in the jungle, having joined the Peoples Defense Force in fighting to restore democracy in Myanmar.
