The Round Panel Discussion
Event description
The Round is the new cultural hub for the Whitehorse community. Welcoming and inspiring, it is a place for both everyday and special events. As a premiere performance and events facility, it is home to a diverse range of local community and business groups, artists, performers and patrons alike.
The building’s curvaceous perimeter creates a series of opportunities for placemaking and community programming. Unified by the use of bricks— some big, some small—each of the building's five faces forges a robust, enduring and proudly civic presence that responds to its immediate context.
The new precinct integrates architecture, landscape, ecology and infrastructure into a new and engaging model for a suburban civic centre.
What's On
Join a panel discussion with Whitehorse Council and the architects Sarah Cooper (Interiors) and Claire Humphreys (Architect) from KTA and George Huon (Principal, Architect) from BKK, who will explain the process from competition through to completion.
