Thinking about starting a podcast? Or simply curious to see what goes on behind the microphones?

Come along to The Rubber Chicken Podcast Studio Open House and take a look inside our new South Melbourne podcast space.

Over a beer, wine or soft drink, and a few nibbles, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the studio, see the podcast equipment and production setup, and learn what it actually takes to turn an idea into a professionally produced podcast.

We’ll walk you through the key steps involved in creating your own show, including:

Ideation - develop the concept, audience, purpose and sustainable format.
Branding & Positioning - create the name, visual identity, photography, music and overall positioning.
Pre-production - organise guests, questions, run sheets, introductions, briefs and recording logistics.
Production - record the show, including microphone technique, presentation skills, studio layout, lighting and workflow.
Post-production - edit the audio/video, clean up mistakes, enhance the sound and add intros, outros, bumpers and cold opens.
Distribution - publish the podcast and video, create titles, descriptions and thumbnails, then promote it through websites and social media.

Whether you’re considering a podcast for business, education, thought leadership, marketing, community building or simply for fun, this is an opportunity to see the space, meet the people behind The Rubber Chicken Podcast Studio and discover how your podcast idea could become a real show.

Bring your podcast idea, or come along and find one.
