    Event description

On the 7th of July the Rumour is back at Staves Brewery.

On this day we are celebrating the day of the Red String of Fate. The Red String of Fate is inspired by the Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese cultural legend which prophesies that an invisible red string connects two fated souls. In some cultures, the string is unbreakable and vice versa in others.

To execute this event we have two incredible performers known as Nesh 007 Vũ (họ/em/con) and Ariel Robin (they/she). They are an experimental performance-art duo, marrying dance and music to create an immersive experience. In this performance, Nesh and Ariel Robin try to find each other through the tangled thread without breaking it.

On an experimental level we are also incorporating "The Urban Soundscape" where Zed Jones and Jemima Dunsmore come together to perform their Improvised Ambient Lo Fi set. Together they create a chill experience, using vocally driven storytelling and minimal jazz instrumentals in a dystopian urban style, revealing the beauty and colour in the mundane and grey of the Urban Scape.

Zed Jones will be on beats, backgrounds, words and trumpet

Jemima Dunsmore will be on vocals and prepare yourself for a surprise unreleased upcoming single from Jemima named "Morphine".

Throughout the show prepare yourself to see some amazing talent coming from our open mic and jam section + some special gifts from our secret visual artists.

Rumour strives to give the space for all artists to share their passions and art and we can't wait to showcase their talents.
