Friday, January 23rd, The Sand Gators and Widespread Haze LIVE at The Rosebud! $15 / 21+ / Doors 7pm, Music 8pm / Psychedelic, R&B, Rock ‘n’ Roll

"Oh boy, where to start? Hailing from somewhere between the sun-baked desert and the hum of I-80, Spencer Kilpatrick & The Sand Gators are a raw, unflinching manifesto of musical indecision. From pounding R&B to psychedelic meanderings to introspective Americana, The Gators have enough tricks to keep a crowd on their tip toes." - Bud Havel

“The Sand Gators are a psychedelic rhythm and blues band from Reno, NV. Formed in 2024, the outfit hit the ground running with the release of the Sacramento Kings-inspired instrumental album ‘Adelman’. They’ve since continued to drop singles showcasing their search for ‘a newer, more focused thing’ as lead singer Spencer Kilpatrick puts it. If the band’s live show is any indication, that search is leading them to high energy, fuzzed-out rock and roll with a uniquely soulful lilt. Recent appearances at OffBeat Music Festival and sporadic trips to Northern California have helped spread their reputation for dynamic, explorative performances.” - Jaxie Robbins

“The Sand Gators are the latest incarnation of the prolific songwriting of Spencer Kilpatrick who has teamed up with longtime Reno collaborators to release new songs of reliably brilliant bluesiness. There's an album, a retrospective if you will, of Kilpatrick's various works and guises coming soon which I'm very much looking forward to and you should too.” - Roland Monger

Widespread Haze opens the show, featuring Luke Thomas on the mandolin and Michael Mendenhall on keys.
