The Saturday Sessions. Southern Women and Writer's Block Tours
Event description
The Saturday Sessions at the Dunedin Southern Cemetery
Gregor Campbell has spent years finding the stories behind the graves, so we don't have to! Take a tour with him through cemeteries in Dunedin and hear stories that have been secret for decades.
Third Saturday of every month will include:
SOUTHERN WOMEN - 11am 90mins
Women are often left out of history, but not today.
Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. Be prepared for a couple of small slopes and uneven
ground.
WRITER'S BLOCK - 2pm 90mins
Are you toiling over a blank page? Cemeteries have plenty of scope for imagination. Let the personal stories of the people buried in the Southern Cemetery be your muse so they can live again.
Bring your pen and notepad and be inspired. This tour is pretty freeform. Different paths can be taken to find stories of interest. Engage with Gregor, the host and let him know what sparks you.

Refunds are available, please don't come if you're unwell! Booking fee of $1.99 per ticket is not refunded. Please email darkestdunedin@gmail.com with any further questions.
There's limited parking at the top of the cemetery driveway, parking on the street and walking up would be the best idea. Meet Gregor in the carpark.
