Join us on a six-week immersive exploration into the myths and memories held in the ocean and its elusive creatures— Selkies, Sirens, and Mermaids— wondrous hybrid beings who carry the wisdom of a more fluid, interconnected way of being. Their stories are ancient maps, guiding us home to our own depths, illuminating a path of renewal and remembering.

An inspiring, joyful, interactive and experiential program, inviting you to shake out your pelt, swim the depths, awaken all your senses and play with your creative ingenuity in a guided, loving and sometimes edgy container. With stories, creative processes, connecting with mythic realities, ceremony, earth centered practises, meditation journeys, discussions and small breakout groups for deeper sharing, (optional).

WEEKLY MODULES

Module One – Threshold
Tuesday February 25, 12-2pm AEST

Delve into the Celtic stories of seals and shapeshifting, longing and belonging, that guide you on a journey of recognising soul loss and reigniting the radiant fire within. Reclaim your intuition and embody your truest self as you rediscover what has been lost, betrayed, exiled or hidden from the depths of your soul. Explore how the symbolic and literal sea claims you, and the insights available within liminal threshold places.

Module Two – Undercurrents
Tuesday March 4, 12-2pm AEST

Deepen further with the Selkie journey, uniting that which has been fractured, reclaiming pelt and gifts of metamorphosis. Going deeper, below the waves, with whale and seal, into the rhythms and memory of the sea and what might be revealed in the deep. An immersion in the wisdom of waters. Listening for what metaphorical ‘ocean’ is calling you. What’s asking to be bridged in these times?

Guest Class – Mermaid Vyana Reynolds
Sunday March 9, 11-12.30pm AEST
Based in Hawaii and a passionate advocator for the ocean and the lore of her land, Vyana shares inspiring and wildly, wonderful tales of the history and mythology of mermaids.

Module Three – Sirens, Selkies and Mermaids
Tuesday March 11, 12-2pm AEST
A mythic journey with the deep feminine within the oceans, exploring the folklore of Sirens, Selkies and Mermaids. Trace how their stories have changed over centuries, from beings of power and mystery, to seductive, monstrous women. They live beyond societal rules and logic, weaving us into timeless mysteries of ancient fish goddesses, women with voices of power and great earth cycles. Explore their personal and collective invitation of freedom, inter -connectedness and honouring of waters.

Module Four – Beyond the Ninth Wave
Tuesday March 18, 12-2pm AEST

Across the Celtic lands, stories tell of lost islands—some sinking beneath the sea like Atlantis or Ys, others slipping into the Otherworld, veiled in mist, like Tir-Na-Nog or the Blessed Isles. These mythic realms stir our deep longing for home, for reunion with the Otherworld, and for the rekindling of our mythic imagination. Often inhabited by enigmatic, magical women who call us beyond the known, they invite us beneath the waves, into the depths, to reveal what has been hidden and bring it to the shore.

Module Five – The Sacred Sea
Tuesday March 25, 12-2pm AEST

Journey into the deep currents of folklore, where ancient echoes of the primeval goddess and Great Mother still resonate. Underneath the patriarchal narratives emerges a profound reverence for life and the sacred feminine, entwined with water. Meet Tethys - Grandmother of the Waters, Clíodhna, Sedna, Stella Maris, Aphrodite, and Tiamat, the dragon mother. Reconnect with the oceanic origins of life and invite the sea’s wisdom to reshape and renew your personal creation stories, dissolving limitations and opening the way for transformation.

Module Six – Singing over the Seal Bones
Tuesday April 1, 11.30-2.00pm AEST
NB: 2.5-hour class with Jane Elworthy

What washes up on the shores of your life’s tide? Weave the mythic symbols and metaphors of these ancient tales into your consciousness. Find and follow your inner north star guidance across uncharted seas, aligning with the regenerative forces of water and the feminine medicine and vision contained here. Honour your own seal bones, your innate hybrid nature, and the deep magic that swims within.

Follow Up Class
Tuesday April 15, 6.30-8.00pm AEST
A shared conversation, meditation, offerings of any insights, writing, art or stories that have emerged. An opportunity for deepening and integrating our journey together.

THIS WORKSHOP INCLUDES:

• 6 online interactive and experiential 2 hour classes

• Guest teacher Jane Elworthy will be offering a guided sound and Rhythmbody, intuitive process in week 6 – a 2.5-hour class

• Guest teacher Vyana Reynolds will be joining us for a wide-ranging and inspiring conversation of living as a water being and oceanic creativity. A 1.5hr class

• All class meditations are accessible for easy download and re-listening

• Reading and podcast recommendations for further exploration.

• All classes will be recorded and available for permanent viewing.

• A book of creative prompts to ignite your inspiration, support and deepen your unfolding soul journey.

• The option to have a group partner/s outside of class to explore, collaborate and be creative with.This is usually a class highlight!

Jacqui Bushell helps people awaken their creative essence through deep connection with the earth, story, and the sacred in nature. Blending plant spirit alchemy, energy awareness, embodiment and profound journey work, she inspires transformational shifts in how we see ourselves and the world. Jacqui has been dancing with the mythic imagination for much of her life, through her love of the wisdom held in fairy tales and her work as a spiritual herbalist listening for the voices and stories in the land.

Weaving story and earth medicine to foster deeper connections with nature and each other. Jacqui has been facilitating experiential women’s circles, workshops, and retreats internationally for 30 years. She inspires people to live passionately and creatively, in kinship with soul, spirit and the living world.

Shamanic teacher and practitioner, sound healer, performer and channel of the Hathor and Pleiadean energies, Jane’s mission is to help people remember their true divine nature through the power of sound, rhythm and light code reactivation. She works internationally as a teacher, retreat facilitator, performer and sacred sound channel. After a profound awakening experience, she was called strongly to the ancient women’s instrument, the Frame Drum, and has been a master drum maker, frame drummer and founder/teacher of Rhythmbody for over 30 years.

Her work is experiential, often playful and profoundly transformational, encouraging people to embody their voice and authentic power. Jane anchors you back home again, in your body and sacred self, connected with spirit and earth, able to live your fullest potential.

GUEST FACILITATOR VYANA REYNOLDS

As an author, artist and Muse, Mermaid Vyana lures humanity to fall in love with the beauty of nature and learn from its creatures. Her stories are infused with magic and wonder, encouraging readers of all ages to see the world through the eyes of a mermaid, where kindness, freedom and harmony with nature are the norm. Vyana’s life is a testament to the magic and wisdom of the ocean, which she shares with the world through her art and storytelling and the mermaid ambassador program. She dives deep into the mermaid realms to find pearls of wisdom, hopeful that humanity will remember its true beauty, insight, and sovereignty and increase our love for the ocean, reminding us how to live symbiotically with each other and the planet.

Like all mermaids, she bridges two worlds. For 15 years, Vyana has embodied various archetypes of the Divine feminine as a Temple Pillar of the 13 Moon Mystery School. As an attorney, she empowers her clients to write their end-of-life documents transmitting their wisdom into the future. She also founded the Phoenix Rising Empowerment Project which uses personal story telling as its core healing method for those who have experienced sexual harassment or violence.
