The Seniors Week Dance Project
Description
Ever wondered if a group of everyday people could learn and perform a dance routine in just two hours?
As part of Seniors Week, join us and The Dance Collective for a fun, relaxed workshop where we'll learn simple dance moves and create a group routine to a well-known song.
No dance experience is needed and no partner is required.
This is not ballroom or line dancing, and you won't be paired up with anyone. Men and women of all abilities are encouraged to come along, take part at their own pace and learn together in a welcoming, judgement-free space.
Whether you've danced before or are convinced you've got two left feet, this workshop is all about having fun, being active, meeting new people and trying something different.
Enjoy:
• A fun community challenge
• Easy-to-follow dance moves
• Plenty of laughs along the way
• A refreshment break
• The opportunity to learn something new
• A welcoming, judgement-free environment
At the end, participants can choose to be part of a fun group video showcasing the routine. It is completely optional and just a fun extra.
As The Dance Collective says, "Dancers can come from all walks of life. This is where they come together."
That is the spirit of this workshop: no partner, no experience and no pressure, just a chance to move, connect and have fun!
This workshop is free, but places are limited and bookings are essential.
Please register only if you are confident you can attend. If your plans change, let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your place to someone else.
Think you've got two left feet? Perfect. We'd love to see you there!
