The Seventh Gate Sound Bath
Description
Grab a pillow, blanket, and your most comfortable clothes to cozy up among the marble statues to approach The Seventh Gate, Elly Kace’s latest musical offering.
Kace’s five piece ensemble from Brooklyn—featuring crystal singing bowls, synthesizers, guitar, drums, piano and bass—will weave catharsis and regulation through the air in ceremony, cultivating space for participants to feel, release, and just be, as the music washes over it all. Fully composed songs from the record will be shared, sprinkled with channeled/improvised soundbath portions, unique to the moment and collection of people at the gathering. Participants are welcome to lie on the floor, nap, snuggle, dance, or sing along—this is a radically accepting space.
The evening will begin with Philly's own Tree Symbol Collective +
Looking Pool to open our hearts and prepare the space for the soundbath. Following the performance, there will be a short community gathering to integrate the experience.
About the Artist:
Elly Kace (she/they) is a sonic visionary and sound healing artist based in Brooklyn, NY. Their experimental chamber pop, laced with vibrational medicine, creates spaces where people are free to feel everything and be fully themselves. Devoted to music as community care, their intimate sound bath gatherings and sold-out NYC performances with a five-piece ensemble are more portals than concerts, shaped entirely by the energy of the people inside them. No two gatherings are ever the same.
