The Shifting Sands, with Tiny Pieces of Eight & Dunedin Electric Company

Ōtepoti's The Shifting Sands hit the stage for their first live performance in five years.  Befitting their name, the Sands have ebbed and flowed. and shed a few skins.  After all but grinding to a halt, the Sands come full circle and have found themselves back at beginnings.  Founding members Mike McLeod and Thomas Bell and new drummer Callum 'the Callabama Slamma' McLean have found strength and purpose in the basic elements that drew them to music in the first place: camaraderie, enjoyment, and a brief moment of meditation outside of all that comes with living in the modern world.
