Shindigs Australia turns three officially and four unofficially this year, and we're marking it properly.

Everyone loved the last party and the venue so much that we decided to go back to the amazing Tailors at the Canvas Club to celebrate.

Flying in from the UK are two very special guests, and not new to The Shindig: Darren Giles and the NIck Mears - Da Funk Junkies, who are bringing their sound halfway around the world to help us blow out the candles.

So expect big grooves, big Shindig energy, and a dancefloor that doesn't stop.

Darren Giles (UK)
35+ years deep in House, Funk and Boogie, with a Traxsource #1 chart topper ("Boogie Down") and multiple Top 10 chart entries to his name. Behind the decks, he's shared stages with Richard Earnshaw, Michael Gray, Full Intention, Grant Nelson, Yam Who? and Todd Edwards, and played the legendary Café del Mar supporting Miguel Migs.
He's just as at home in the studio as he is on the decks.

Working out of his own Disco Kid Studios, Darren writes, produces and plays keys on his original material — tracks like Deja Vu, Take Me, Love Me Like This and Imagination — soulful, groove-driven records built on memorable melodies and emotive vocals.

His production and remix work has landed on Duffnote, Soulfuric, Hed Kandi, Reelhouse Records (who welcomed him back to the label in 2023), Silocasa and Midnight Riot, alongside releases on his own imprint, Disco Kid Records. He also hosts "The Boogie Down" on Streetsounds Radio and "Boogie Down Sessions" on Vocal Booth Radio.
