    The Singing Voice: A Holistic Approach

    No matter if you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced singer - If you are curious about how breathing affects your voice, how to avoid vocal injuries or how to recognise and replicate stylistic sounds through vocal technique then this is the ultimate workshop for you!

    On Saturday the 6th of April, 3 presenters will give 3 complimentary workshops on 'The Singing Voice: A Holistic Approach'. You are welcome to come along to 1, 2 or all 3 sessions. Each session has an individual price listed below otherwise it will be $50 to attend all 3 workshops (running from 11am - 3:30pm). Please note that only light refreshments will be provided between 1-1:30pm so please BYO lunch if you require something more substantial. The run of the day will be as follows:

    Menaka Thomas presents: Yoga for the Singing Voice (11am - Midday, $20 for Individual Ticket)

    Menaka Thomas is an Indian-Fusion singer, Physio/Yoga Therapist and Counsellor. This workshop will provide insights on how the traditional practice of Yoga can nurture and support the whole singer. Please BYO mat.

    Kelsey Giarola presents: How The Voice Works: The Basics (Midday - 1pm, $20 for Individual Ticket)

    Kelsey Giarola has a Masters in Vocal Pedagogy and loves sharing her knowledge about the voice. This workshop is for singers of all abilities and will include topics such as breathing for singers, vocal anatomy, vocal injuries and Vocal Health plus a Q&A at the end.

    Dave Shannon presents: Vocal Masterclass (1:30 - 3:30pm, $30 for Individual Ticket)

    With over 30 years of professional performing experience and teaching certifications to match, Dave Shannon will be leading a Masterclass for advanced singers, demonstrating differences in vocal techniques and stylistic sounds. Singers of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend.
