Support SisterWorks' vision that all migrant, refugee, and asylum seeker women are economically empowered and help us celebrate our good work on Saturday 18 June at the Immigration Museum in Melbourne.

SisterWorks’ Gala will take place on the eve of Refugee Week – a national celebration of the positive contributions made by refugees to Australian society.

We hope that you join us for an unforgettable evening of diversity and enrichment. Be greeted by an Indonesian Gamelan orchestra and enjoy drinks and canapés in the museum’s reimagining of Old Customs House, one of Melbourne’s most significant 19th century buildings.

Your ticket includes:

  • open bar providing beer, wine, and champagne
  • variety of canapés served throughout the evening
  • keynote speakers supporting refugee, migrant, and asylum-seeking women
  • the chance to bid on SisterWorks’ unique silent auction before and during the event 
  • funds that will help SisterWorks provide life-changing education, training, and pre-employment programs to refugee, migrant, and asylum-seeker women 
  • opportunities to connect with the women who have participated in these programs to learn new social and vocational skills and improve their economic outlook

Dress code: Cocktail attire or traditional cultural dress.

Doors open: 6:30pm. Guests can enter via the venue's entrance on Market Street.

Ticket cost: $220 (includes GST) + $ 6 booking fee.

Refund policy

Refunds are only available when a SisterWorks event has been cancelled or rescheduled, or where required by Australian Consumer Law. Please consider donating your ticket purchase to SisterWorks, prior to requesting a refund. The full amount of your ticket purchase (excluding booking fees) will be considered tax-deductible. Note that should your circumstances change or you have a change of mind or any changes to the event line-up are not subject to a refund. Proof of purchase is required to verify the authenticity of the original ticket when asking for a refund. If the SisterWorks event is cancelled, ticket holders will be entitled to apply for a full refund for the price of the ticket (excluding booking fees). If the SisterWorks event is rescheduled or significantly relocated, your ticket will become valid for the rescheduled/relocated event.
