    Event description

To celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Beatles performing at the Majestic Theatre in Christchurch, June 1964, High energy Skiffle Group The Skeatles will perform the exact set that The Beatles played that day.
You can expect raw, high energy Skiffle renditions of those songs - Just as The Quarrymen would have done!
This show at A Rolling Stone Live!, Colombo St, Christchurch promises to be a fun celebration of this key moment in Christchurch's musical history.

    And check this out....

Paul our Tea chest bass player, was one of the kids in the crowd outside the Clarenden Hotel where The Beatles stood on their balcony in 1964
(By the way, that's Paul Kean from The Bats!)

Drummer Dan's Dad gave fashion advice to The Beatles at Abbey Road (By the Way That's our drummer Dan Heatley who played drums for Shane MacGowan)

Guitar / Vocalist David's Dad hung out with The Beatles in the 60's and David himself is involved in an American radio drama about The Beatles and has chatted with Rod Davis about his time in the Quarrymen... Rod was there the day Lennon met McCartney who later replaced Rod Davis in that line up. (By the way That's David Thorpe formerly of The Black Velvet band and many more...)

It's gonna be a great show folks! Get you ticket and ride......
