The Sleepyheads & Superdose Gangway

April 2023 Tour

Uncle Mum is proud to present two of Australia’s most exciting and enduring emo/punk bands touring together nationally this April.

Hailing from two sides of Lutruwita/Tasmania, The Sleepyheads are an indie punk-rock quartet creating a magical blend of melancholic melodies and punchy lyricism.

Having released their long-awaited debut album ‘Something To Balance The Sonder’ in July of 2022, The Sleepyheads have continued to assert themselves as one of Australia’s foremost purveyors of heart-on-sleeve, earnest and introspective punk rock.

The 10 track album is a dynamic, cathartic purge of relatable and intertwined emotions. From self-confidence to self-doubt; anxiety and long-distance relationships, the songs on ‘Something to Balance The Sonder’ delve into a new and exciting songwriting territory for the band.

Tarntanya/Adelaide-based sextet Superdose Gangway meld buoyant pop-punk with heartfelt Midwest emo revival, a sound best exemplified by their debut album ‘Quiet People with Loud Feelings’ due March 2023.

Formed in 2015, Superdose Gangway is known for intense live shows and unorthodox releases, such as their first project ‘26 Songs in 2016’ and their 4-way split 7” vinyl with fellow emo bands from the US, UK and Italy.

Superdose Gangway has shared the stage with Tigers Jaw (US), Signals Midwest (US), The 5.6.7.8’s (JPN), Carb on Carb (NZ), Ceres, Press Club and Columbus and performed at a number of Australian festivals including Adelaide’s Woolly Mammoth and Stonecutters in 2019 and Newcastle’s Party Animals in 2018.
