Waimate Theatre Company presents: The Sound of Music

Join us for a heartwarming production of The Sound of Music, the beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein classic based on the true story of the von Trapp family. Set in Austria on the eve of World War II, the story follows Maria, a spirited postulant-turned-governess, who brings music, joy, and love back into the lives of seven children and their stern father, Captain von Trapp. Featuring timeless songs such as My Favorite Things, Do-Re-Mi, Edelweiss, and Climb Ev’ry Mountain, this uplifting show is perfect for all ages.
