The Spaces We Leave Behind

Finding flow in our selves and with a partner, this workshop will serve as an introduction for those completely new to the form.

No partner required as you'll dance with several other attendees, however if you''d like to come along with a dedicated partner that is ok too.

About the Form

Contact Improv (CI) is a study in relationship to others, and the dance is a chance to hone that with skill, movement and touch.

With no set steps and no set leader, participants have the challenge and opportunity of practicing the widest possible range of dance moves, and to develop skills around presence, leading, following, fitness and flexibility.

It's an utterly joyous practice, and if you'd like to have a fun experience which sparks great changes in your life, come along.

About the facilitator, Eamonn O'Flaherty

I have been dancing contact since 2010 and teaching since 2012. I think it an incredibly helpful and healthful form, and I am passionate and committed to its spread.

Contact Culture

This event is run under the Not-For-Profit organisation Contact Culture, which is dedicated to spreading ‘Dance and Democracy’. It is offered with the ethic of not letting an aspiring attendee’s lack of money lead to a lack of dance.
