The Spindrift Saga with The Scaramouche, Moon Dogs and Don John & the John Dons

The Spindrift Saga return to one of their favourite venues this September. After selling out two headline shows at Smokey Dan’s in 2021, south coast funk rock legends are back to do it again in 2022. They will be joined by their mates The Scaramouche, Moon Dogs and Don John & The John Dons. Get ready for an unmissable night of groove laden rock music while enjoying authentic smoked food and BBQ style cuisine at Smokey Dan’s.

This is an outdoor and family-friendly event on Saturday 10th September, held in the Smokey Dan’s courtyard. Music from 6pm with Smokey Dan’s incredible menu available until 7:30pm.

THE SPINDRIFT SAGA

The Spindrift Saga are renowned for their explosive live shows, “catchy rhythms, bright licks” and huge alt funk-rock sound. Over the course of a decade, this act has gained a large underground following and accumulated a long list of achievements. Touring extensively, The Spindrift Saga has supported the likes of The Living End, Thirsty Merc, The Rubens, British India and many other music industry heavyweights. The band’s debut full-length record ‘Badnormous’ has received airplay around the country and earned The Spindrift Saga a unique place in the alternative rock scene. Since their album release, the band has released several new singles and are currently working on their highly anticipated sophomore album.

THE SCARAMOUCHE

The Scaramouche is a carnival of rogues that have been writing and performing together since 2018. Hailing from the far south coast of NSW in Australia, their all Australian original music will have you dancing all the way to the Ska merry go-round.

MOON DOGS

Moon Dogs is a smooth fusion of psychedelic, reggae, rock and blues, with strong hooks, fronted by catchy melodies. They moved quickly within the Central Coast and Newcastle music scene. Renowned for a great live performance, they've played alongside Blue King Brown, Ocean Alley, Skeggs, The Sea Gypsies and many more.

From humble Yowie Club origins, Don John & the John Dons have packed up their saddle bags and left Mogendura Mountain to bring you a modern blend of country and blues. Just four cowboys trying to find a lighter.
