PAC Music Presents 'THE STORY OF MOTOWN' 2022
Event description
'THE STORY OF MOTOWN'Â
‘THE STORY OF MOTOWN’ is more than a concert; it’s a journey through a magical period that produced some of the greatest music of the 20th century. Stevie Wonder, The Jackson 5, The Supremes, Marvin Gaye and many more, Motown wasn’t just a record label – it became a style, forever linked to the city in which it was born. Rooted in the African American experience, from the fields and churches to the streets of New Orleans, the story begins in Detroit, Michigan, 1959, when Berry Gordy Jnr purchased a humble house on West Grand Boulevard.Â
Sit back and relax as the talented Princes musicians, with support from Seymour vocalists, perform songs that have become favourites all over the world.
With grooves and melodies that are impossible to resist, you’ll be tapping your toes, clapping your hands and dancing in your seats. So grab your friends and family, and come experience the people, the stories and the music that are ‘THE STORY OF MOTOWN’.
