After appearing in Astra’s Rational Melodies in 2022, qanun player, singer and composer Vahideh Eisaei returns with the Storytellers, a semi-theatrical performance of music, poetry, and shadow puppetry. She is joined by dancer Elnaz Sheshgelani and theatrical vocalist Issie Hart.

Drawing on traditional Persian weaving songs, lullabies and folk melodies from different traditions, and storytelling, the program offers an exploration of the female experience, creating a tapestry of narratives that depict their struggles and triumphs.
