The Streets and People Podcast Launch BBQ

Get Around Cabo Carfree is a community movement advocating for more travel options for people. We’re working to make Caboolture and Morayfield a more liveable community and are committed to providing everyone with the opportunity to get around without a car, regardless of their age, ability or income.
Almost 1 in 2 people can’t drive here which can make it difficult to feel part of society leading to limited employment options, fewer social events, missed medical appointments and feeling dependent on others to meet basic transport needs. Lack of transport too often leads to social isolation. The economic burden of social isolation in the Moreton Bay region is estimated to be ~$60m each year.
The Streets and People podcast is to highlight the transportation problems experienced within the community with the voice of the community. In Not Everyone Drives, we listen to people's transportation issues for people who don't drive, don't want to drive and probably shouldn't drive.
In People & Projects, we chat with people who are focused on a particular aspect of inclusive transportation. We discuss the road rules for people outside a car in our Road Rules 360 episodes. The BBQ is to celebrate the podcast launch.
What to bring? Please feel welcome to bring a friend, a plate of food to share and what you'd like to drink. As chairs will be very limited, please bring something to sit on.
