The Strength Table
Description
Midlife changes the deal you thought you had with your body. It changes your tolerance for pretending, your energy, your relationship with food, movement and rest, and often your sense of who you actually are underneath the roles you've been playing.
This dinner is a chance to talk about that properly, without a stage, a slide deck or a wellness script.
Hosting the evening: Kirstin Bouse, clinical and forensic psychologist and founder of The Midlife Psychologist, and Kate Ivey, founder of DediKate, one of the most respected online strength training businesses for women across Australia and New Zealand.
Kirstin works with the psychological side of midlife: identity, meaning, the unravelling that happens when a life stops fitting. Kate works with the physical side: how to build real strength in a body that no longer behaves the way it used to, from home or anywhere. Over dinner they'll bring both perspectives to the table, literally, for a conversation about what's actually happening in midlife bodies and minds, why the old rules for managing both stop working, and what it means to build genuine strength instead of performing wellness.
