The Structure and Function of Asana

This 2 hour workshop is a yogic perspective of the musculoskeletal system and how it influences itself and surrounding structures, including other systems. It will explore movement patterns and the interconnected nature of the body.

This space will cover:

~the alignment of common asanas (postures)

~the mechanics of movement patterns

~common transitions between asanas

~how to create a safe and sustainable practice

~the effects of asana beyond the musculoskeletal system

~how the physical practice allows for a solid foundation in deeper energetic practices

Michelle has been sharing her passion in health through the modalities of Naturopathy, Massage and Yoga for over 12 years. These varied disciplines allow her to approach wellbeing from both a biochemical and mechanical perspective.
