Event description

Legendary, Award winning Jazz/Rock/Fusion/World Groove band The Subterraneans meet European Jazz flute master Jeroen Pek (Netherlands).

An encounter of kindred spirits. Jeroen Pek is internationally regarded as one of today's leading jazz flautists. Besides his own projects such as PEK, Pitch Plot 4, Jeroen Pek European Quartet and Jeroen Pek Band, he has worked with James Cammack (US), Serge Lazerevitch (F), Jean Luc Lehr (F), Fathy Salama (EG), Jasper van 't Hof (NL), Pierre Courbois (NL), Joris Teepe and Owen Hart Jr. (US/NL) among others. After playing Europe, USA and Africa, this is his first Australian tour.

The Subterraneans and Pek share the curiousness of crossovers in music and the adventure that comes along with it. Therefor band leader James Ryan and Jeroen Pek both contribute to the repertoire of this project.
