Eight-hundred years ago, at the height of the Fifth Crusade, St Francis of Assisi crossed the battle lines between warring armies to meet with Sultan Malik al-Kamil of Egypt. Together they defied a century of war and distrust in search of mutual respect and peace.

To mark the 800th anniversary of this historic event, we invite you to a once-only screening of the Emmy-nominated docudrama The Sultan and the Saint at 7.00pm on Thursday, 5 September at Event Cinemas in Westfield Paramatta. Be inspired to reach out and make Christian-Muslim friendship a reality in our time.
