THE SUNSET SESSIONS - Hits of Los Angeles!
Live @ The Servo
Sunday 29th January

The best of popular culture & a new story on the music of Los Angeles, "The Sunset Sessions" takes us on a journey through the mega-hits of pop, rock and soul that grew from the legendary Sunset Boulevard!

From Downtown Los Angeles to the coast at Santa Monica, Sunset Boulevard stretches for 22 miles. It’s the artery that pumps life into The City of Angels, Hollywood and The Sunset Strip. It’s the home of Chateau Marmont, Guitar Row, The Hollywood Palladium & Mel’s Diner. From TV shows & clubs like The Whiskey & Roxy, the action on Sunset Boulevard ignited a musical explosion that would come to redefine our popular culture & fill stadiums around the world.
From the Executive Producers of Foxtel’s Fire Fight Australia broadcast, experience this musical road-trip through LA as we play the hits from Sonny & Cher, The Monkees; Fleetwood Mac, The Beach Boys; Boz Scaggs; David Lee Roth; Don Henley; The Knack; Tommy Tutone; The Go-Go’s; The Bangles; Billy Idol; Guns N’ Roses; Joan Jett and The Blackhearts; Katy Perry & many more + our own Olivia Newton-John, who hit the big-time in LA too!
With catchy one-hit wonders and some of the biggest hits of our generation, The Sunset Sessions brings a new group of Sydney's most exciting & internationally-experienced professional musicians together, now to play the hits in this high-energy show by Punwin Productions.

The Band!
The Sunset Sessions brings together an eclectic 5-piece band & musicians with a depth of experience & talent that belies their years...
Our Lead Vocalist - Ray Ray Vavasis. She’s our versatile leading lady, who can sing everything beautifully, from the smooth croonings of a Sinatra classic to rocking it out of the ballpark, & always backing it up with her pocket-rocket charisma, energy & charm!
Our Lead Guitar - Ewan Lund. Voted Favourite Youth Band or Individual by The Sydney Blues Society Member’s Choice Awards for 2022, he’s only 20 years old, but regularly playing with esteemed heavy-weights of the Australian live music scene (Harry Brus; Renee Geyer).
Our Bassist - Tomas Hills. He played the Whiskey on LA’s Sunset Boulevard when he was just 13 & can’t wait to hit The Blue Mountains Theatre to back it up!
Our Keyboardist - Mitchell Sloane. As the super-producer in his own recording studio, he’s also a composer, piano prodigy & the grooviest cat this side of the Pacific.
Our Drummer - Mick O’Shea. He’s the well-seasoned Father figure of the group, who’s played the skins for over four decades with everyone from Swanee to Richie Sambora (Bon Jovi).
