Join Dr Graham Willett to delve once again into the broader history of Melbourne and the University of Melbourne on this queer history walk, exploring the public, private and often secret history of students, academics and staff of the University.

From The Group of 1930s women scholars to the collections of the Baillieu Library, the emergence of Gay Liberation, the first National Homosexual Conference… The Union Building, the Sports Centre, the poster bollards, the public toilets – all these, we will see, have played a role in shaping the queer life and culture of the university.

What to expect:

A 60-minute walking tour of the University of Melbourne Parkville Campus.
A small group with plenty of opportunities for discussion and questions.
While every effort will be made to accommodate mobility levels, please note the tour will involve approximately 3km of walking outside, including across uneven surfaces.
