Unsettling situations, sinister secrets, and psychological angst abound in three new thrillers by CJ Leede, Marisa Walz, and Allison LaMothe. Join the authors as they talk about putting tension on every page and delving into the depths of troubled characters’ minds.
Author Biographies
CJ Leede is a horror writer, hiker, and Trekkie. She is the author of Maeve Fly and American Rapture. Her debut novel Maeve Fly won the Golden Poppy Octavia E. Butler Award and Splatterpunk Award, and earned a Bram Stoker Award nomination. When she is not driving around the country, CJ can be found in LA with her boyfriend and rescue dogs.
Marisa Walz is a Federal Reserve executive who also writes novels about people behaving badly. She lives in the Chicago suburbs with her husband and two young children.
Allison LaMothe is a writer based in Miami by way of New York. After studying French and English with a concentration in poetry writing at the University of Virginia, she spent a year in Russia before moving on to New York City. When not writing or reading three books at a time she can generally be found in the dance studio, in the kitchen, or under water. Dirty Metal is her first novel.
Moderator Biography
Mallika Narayanan is a writer, singer, and digital artist based in Pennsylvania. Her short fiction stories have appeared in print and online, and her work has been longlisted and shortlisted for several awards, including the Bath Flash Fiction Prize and the Fractured Lit Micro Fiction Prize. Mallika is the author of the critically acclaimed thriller, In The Dark I See You.
